In the bustling city of Hyderabad in 2016, Dr. Vishwas Rao embarked on a deeply personal and emotional journey that would transform his life and inspire the creation of ATG Foundation. His story is one of love, loss, and unwavering dedication to a cause that became his life’s mission.
A Father's Struggle
Dr. Vishwas Rao’s journey began when his father was diagnosed with throat cancer, a diagnosis that would prove to be the most challenging chapter in their lives. Despite his own background as a doctor, he watched his father’s health deteriorate, powerless to ease his pain. It was a cruel twist of fate that even a medical professional like him could not save his beloved father.
The Quest for Answers
The Heart-Wrenching Realization
His journey took a poignant turn when a senior doctor delivered the devastating news that his father was battling cancer.
In a healthcare system that seemed to provide no clear answers or guidance, Dr. Vishwas Rao was left grappling with a profound sense of helplessness.
The Painful Journey
He stood by his father’s side throughout his cancer treatment at Nargis Hospital. However, the battle against cancer took a toll on his father’s throat, face, and overall well-being. For two agonizing years, he watched as his father struggled to eat and drink comfortably, the weight of his own profession as a doctor adding to the burden of helplessness.
A Vision Born from Pain
His personal experience with his father’s suffering became the driving force behind his life’s purpose. He recognized the dire need for well-equipped and compassionate healthcare facilities and made it his mission to effect change. Over the course of a year, he acquired certification in cancer care, consulted with experts, and embarked on the journey to create ATG Foundation.
Even though he is a doctor by profession, his personal journey has inspired his lifelong commitment to improving cancer care. ATG Foundation, under his compassionate leadership, is dedicated to providing comprehensive support, care, and hope to individuals and families affected by cancer.
After the passing of his father, he was determined to save multiple lives. He conducted extensive research on cancer, delving deep into the complexities of the disease. His father’s suffering and the late diagnosis were the catalysts for his unwavering commitment to make a difference.
ATG Foundation strives to be a beacon of hope, understanding, and transformation in the field of cancer care.
In the memory of my father, we established ATG Foundation with the goal of preventing others from experiencing the same pain and helplessness. Together, we can change the course of cancer care.
